The UCF Universal Orlando Foundation Library at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management announces new exhibit!

Posted on: Nov 15, 2004 @ 3:38:00 pm

The UCF Universal Orlando Foundation Library at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management is pleased to announce that it will host the exhibit "The Making of an Amusement Park Attraction: Stephen Danks Lodwick and the Creation of Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls" from August 16th through October 15th.
The exhibit will explore the life and work of Stephen Danks Lodwick (1947-2002), an illustrator and concept designer for theme parks, rides, and attractions.
Among the items on display will be original drawings and storyboards produced by Mr. Lodwick for the design of the popular Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls water ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park, books from his personal library that might have served as inspiration for his work on the ride, and promotional pieces and construction photos of the ride.
Tim Bottorff, Reference Librarian at the Universal Orlando Foundation Library, is guest curating the exhibit, with the assistance of Dannie Helm, Liz Konzak, and Carla Summers in the UCF Libraries Special Collections department.
