Books and shelves were moved, the 2nd floor clearing began in April. Government Documents print collection was moved to the 1st floor in mid-April. See current location information.
Semester break begins May 4th. Furniture was removed from the back half of the 2nd floor, and "The Wall" was set up to limit access to the area. The Circulation desk was resurfaced. The library classrooms were used as extra lab space when classes were not in session.
Electrical and structural work is ongoing in the back half of the 2nd floor. The former Reference desk was removed, some carpet was removed, and there was some noise as the crew drilled through the floor for electrical work.
The area between Circulation and Reference will close. Access to the 2nd floor will be limited, except the infusion Infusion area which will remain open the entire Summer. Computer availability will be limited further, library classrooms will be used as extra lab space when classes are not in session.
Fall classes begin August 23rd. Grand Opening of Knowledge Commons to be held.
