Library Cards

A Central Florida community patron may purchase a UCF special borrower card for six months at $30 or $60 for one year at the UCF Library Circulation Desk. To learn more about the different special borrower cards available link to the Circulation Services Non UCF Faculty, Staff or Student Privileges. The special borrower card is issued to an individual with photo id; it is not transferable between individuals or within an organization. Educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations can contact the UCF InfoSource office at 407-823-5463 or email at isource@mail.ucf.edu to learn about group rates and library services for their students or employees.

The special borrower card enables a community patron to borrow a maximum of 10 items from the UCF general collection for a period of three weeks; audio-visual materials are loaned for one week. Materials from the general collection may be renewed unless a hold request has been placed by another patron. A borrower is responsible for overdue fines and the replacement costs of lost or damaged materials. For additional special borrower privileges and restrictions contact the InfoSource office. Interlibrary loan service is available to a community patron through local public libraries or for a fee through the InfoSource office.

Off-campus access to web based databases is limited to the UCF Catalog, the SUS Catalog, and other none subscription databases. Licensing agreements with database providers limit off-campus access to UCF students, faculty and staff. See Database Titles for details.
