The Metropolitan Center for Regional Studies (UCF) "serves as a link between campus and community in a regional approach that encompasses seven counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, and Volusia. We work in partnership with other institutions and organizations committed to a shared future that advances economic prosperity, social connectedness, natural resource protection and individual well being." The University Archives houses video/dvd copies of the "UCF Metro with Linda Chapin" television show (2001-present) which focuses on the partnership and leadership roles that UCF has undertaken as a way to strengthen the Central Florida community. The series also looks at UCF’s leadership roles in regional and state issues in the economy, workforce and education.
Access to Better Community Data (ABCD) The mission of this project is to provide easy Access to Better Community Data (ABCD) through a website on the University of Central Florida's Library web system, in partnership with the College of Health and Public Affairs Center for Community Partnerships. This site will strive to meet the following objectives:
The UCF Government Documents Collection includes the Index to Current Urban Documents (ICUD) microfiche set through 1998. Organized by location, ICUD gives the user access to the thousands of periodic reports that were issued by approximately 500 selected US and Canadian urban area agencies and departments. The UCF Library does not currently subscribe to the online database.
CountyWatch "is a multi-partisan organization in Orange County, Florida that focuses on ensuring citizen-friendly local government. CountyWatch is committed to promoting open and accountable local government that listens to the concerns of its citizens and is responsive to those concerns."
Local Government & Planning - The Planning & Local Government Collection at the Orlando Public Library has many print local documents, including reports for Developments of Regional Impact (DRIs).

myregion.org is the name of a three-year initiative that will help Central Floridians "build a common framework to guide the future of the region." It defines the Central Florida region as an area covering seven counties -- Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Lake and Polk.
Project Hometown "is a citizens committee comprised of everyday people, public and private entities, businesses, and community partners, from all walks of life who believe that Orlando is a great destination – and that the time is now for us to build an even better hometown."
