Off Campus Access with VPN
To use SciFinder Scholar from off campus you will need to use UCF's Virtual Private Network.
The UCF Network Operations Center provides
basic instructions for VPN. To use VPN for Library
resources, follow these modified instructions. Links below open in a new
window.
- Create a VPN account for
yourself as instructed on the VPN Help page. You will need to login with your PID and your
myUCF password, fill out a form, and pick a VPN user name and password. Once you have done
that, move on to step two.
- Configure your computer to use VPN. Several options are listed on the VPN Help page.
The Library recommends either of these two:
- Create the "Connection Entry" with host address vpn3030.ucf.edu with
name 'library' and password 'vpn3030'.
