Athena Hoeppner
Electronic Resources Librarian
Athena Hoeppner is UCF’s Electronic Resources Librarian. She has 16 years of department-spanning experience in academic libraries. Athena started in Reference and Instruction, where she indulged a love of user services, then moved to Library Systems, where she indulged her fascination with computers and technology. She now resides in Acquisitions, oversees the expenditure of $4 million on eResources, and maintains systems that provide and enhance access to the collection. Athena’s interests and research center on applying technology to connect users to content. Her projects have explored usability, user interfaces, and technology for improving findability and access to information.
