THERE IS NO LONGER A GRACE PERIOD FOR RESERVES.
Fines accrue from the due date, however they are not collected until they reach $1.00 (4 days overdue).
All borrowers except Faculty and Staff are responsible for Library fines. Regular loans are charged at $0.25 per day. Reserves are charged at $0.25 per hour, or $6 per day, with no grace period.
Beginning May 14 2012, patrons who owe $10.00 or more, or who have one or more "Lost" items charged to their library account will be automatically blocked. This block will prevent the patron from checking out library materials, from renewing library materials, or remotely accessing the library's databases. This block will be removed once full payment is made by the patron, or the "Lost" items are returned and any remaining fines are paid. Partial payments are not accepted.
Also beginning on May 14th 2012, the University Library will place University (Academic) blocks on UCF student accounts under the following conditions-
The University (Academic) block will be placed on grades, transcripts, graduation, and registration. This block will be removed once full payment is made by the patron or all "Lost" items are returns and any remaining fines are paid. Partial payments are not accepted.
Questions about payment of fines billed BEFORE July 7, 2006 should be directed to the Student Accounts Office. Make checks payable to UCF.
Questions about payment of fines billed AFTER July 7, 2006 should be directed to the UCF Library Circulation Desk. Make checks payable to UCF Libraries.
The UCF Library will not accept the return of "Lost" Library materials more than 30 days after payment has been made to the library, i.e. a refund of payment will only be available up to 30 days after payment to the Library. After that point we will not accept return of the item(s) (except as a donation). Return of items for which the debt has been transferred to University Collections will not be accepted in the Library at any time before or after payment.
