Problems with paper jams, money loss, paper outages, etc. in the John C. Hitt Library and Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) should be reported as follows:
Many copier sites have an in-house phone attached to the wall for service calls. To make a service call, pick up the phone, press the unit desired(designated on the phone), and report the location of the machine and the problem to the person answering the call. Follow the instructions given.
The Copy Services Office, LR 229 is generally staffed during regular library hours (up to 9:00 p.m.). Staff members are called away from time to time to service the machines. If LR 229 is locked and immediate attention is required, report the problem to one of the service areas listed below and follow the instructions given.
Various service areas throughout the John C. Hitt Library have been designated to assist patrons with machine problems. These areas are:
Problems with card dispensers, copiers, or laser printer, inform a staff member at one of the service desks listed above. The problem will be radioed to a Copy Services staff member.
Problems with the microform machines should be reported to the media desk staff.
