Printing from Library Computers
Using the Print Stations

Most of public computers in the main library print to Print Stations on the second and third floors.

How to print:

  1. From the computer, select document(s) to print as usual (i.e., click on the printer icon in the menu at the top of the screen). To select the color printer, be sure to click <File>, <Print>, then choose the color printer before sending the print job. You can send multiple documents to the printer before going to the Print Station to retrieve them.
  2. Once prompted to enter a name for the print job (initials work fine in most cases) and click <OK>.
  3. Go to any Print Station.
  4. Insert a Copy Card in the card reader.
  5. Select your print job and click <Print> or <Delete> (if you no longer want the print).
  6. The exact cost of the print job, the number of pages in the document, and the balance on the copy card will display.
  7. Click <Logoff> to retrieve your copy card.

Don't forget to retrieve your card!!

Things to know:

  • Printers only use Copy Cards.
  • Print costs
  • The printer will indicate if money needs to be added to the copy card.
  • All print jobs will be deleted within two hours.

[NOTE] Workstations in the main library THAT ARE NOT connected to a print station include:

  • Selected workstations near the Reference Desk
  • Patents computers
