Site Goals
Visual Goal
- The Web site is consistent with the attitude and "brand" of the Libraries.
- Graphics, fonts, and layout are consistent through out the site.
- The basic template is flexible enough to work well for the majority of our content.
Content Goals
- Provides users the fullest experience of the UCF Libraries possible via the Web
- Delivers all services that can feasibly be offered via the Web
- Consistently represents all Libraries departments and major units, providing access
to departmental descriptions, policies, hours, and contact information.
Navigation Goals
- Navigation is clear and intuitive
- Pages present consistent navigation options that enable the user to determine their
position in the site relative to the top level pages
- Content organization is consistent and predictable
Functionality Goals
- Technology used is constant with the abilities and expectations of users
- Applications and functionality are developed as needed to deliver information and
services in the form best suited to the content and users
Maintenance Goals
- All content is kept up to date.
- Content or information which is presented in multiple contexts and locations is
centralized to the extent possible.
